Clan Rules

By the very nature of the clan, it is necessary for all members to observe the following rules:

1. Abuse

   1.1   There is never a bad time for abuse. Attempts should be made to offer abuse to any player, friend or foe, whenever the opportunity arises.
   1.2   Abuse must be light-hearted, good humoured and good natured. Threatening behaviour, Racial and excessive Homophobic abuse will not be tolerated.
   1.3   Foul language is discouraged, however acronyms such as FOAD are acceptable.
   1.4   All abuse must be spelled and punctuated correctly, obeying British English grammatical rules.
   1.5   No abuse should contain any form of l33t, street, pikey speak, txt talk, etc.
   1.6   All abuse must be written in English.
   1.7   Examples of appropriate abuse are:

   • You suck
   • Your mum
   • FOAD
   • Watch out, this is an English speaking server and you are likely to be kicked for speaking foreign
   • General anti-American slurs

2. Cheating

   2.1   Cheating of any kind including add-ons, aimbots and any other feature that could give an unfair advantage over other users is strictly prohibited.
   2.2   Persons caught cheating will be banned for life and shamed on appropriate web sites.
   2.3   Any [Irene] member found to be cheating should be reported to either irene.stryker@thebase.co.uk or irene.neo@thebase.co.uk.

3. Clan Names

   3.1   All members of the [Irene] clan must prefix their name with [Irene] as shown here. e.g. [Irene] Stryker, [Irene] neo etc.
   3.2   [Irene] must be spelled with a capital (upper-case) 'I' followed by lower-case 'rene', enclosed in square brackets.
   3.3   Your [Irene] clan name is chosen by you but must be original. If desired, your [Irene] clan name may differ from any other name you play under.

4. Communications

   4.1   All information must be communicated in English with the following exceptions:
   

   • Frenglish: words or phrases combining both English and French words, e.g. trés good, tu suck and your maman.
   • Gerlish: words or phrases combining both English and German words, e.g. danke very much, das ist good and ach, nein, mein head!

   4.2   Persons with e-mail accounts must use them responsibly and must not carry out any illegal activities with the account including but not limited to: spamming, phishing, terrorist activities and so on.
   4.2.1   Clan rules still apply to abuse communicated via e-mail.
   4.2.2   E-mail is monitored by the clan and any inappropriate use shall result in instant expulsion from the clan and termination of e-mail redirection.
   4.2.3   E-mail addresses may only be used for clan related banter.

5. Miscellaneous (but still important)

   5.1   Strictly NO LAN parties. They're just not cool.
   5.2   All members are required where possible to announce "1 MINUTE!" when there is one minute remaining of a game.
   5.3   When leaving a game, members are required to announce "Bye fags" to all other players.
   5.4   No owning, pwning or use of the word 'frag'.
   5.5   Absolutely no loyalty towards the clan is necessary. However, this does not mean clan rules may be disregarded!
   5.6   Members are in no way limited to the membership of just one clan.
   5.7   Although some 'nading is permitted, it is not encouraged and minimal 'nading is allowed.
   5.8   [Irene] Stryker and [Irene] neo remain in overall control of the [Irene] clan and reserve the right to expel members at any time, for any reason and may change clan rules at any time without notice.
   5.9   Recreational gaming hats are permitted and actively encouraged to be worn whilst playing.
